It's always worth remembering that you always need more boxes than you initially anticipate so make sure you have stocked up on the necessary removal assets. Keep your belongings safe and secure during transit by making sure you have appropriately sized boxes, furniture covers, bubble wrap and any useful extras which you can see here.

To further stay organised in the approach to your moving day, introducing colour coordination to your boxes of belongings will make unloading and unpacking everything seem less like a chore. Everything you have boxed up can be instantly put into the right room from the start.

Keep important items with you

You may think it's more effective to have important documents packed away and safely out of the way so they don't get lost amongst everything else being moved, however the last thing you want to be doing on moving day is looking through boxes for key documents once they have been loaded. Keep important documents and effects with you such as passports, banking details, solicitors numbers, keys etc.

Start packing early
