Little it isn’t but gem it truly is.
If you haven’t already visited Kirby Hall, then you really are missing out on a spectacular day!
Having operated our business in and around Corby for many years, we love nothing more than enjoying a stroll amongst the gardens after hours of heavy lifting.
The calming yet scenic surroundings have drawn in many visitors from across the UK, whether its to marvel at the architecture, enjoy the garden or relive the life of a 17th century royal, Kirby Hall in Corby has it all.
One of the greatest Elizabethan houses enjoyed in England, development of the house began in the late 16th century. Taking design inspiration from the French and expiring classical architectural style over the decades, the house is now part ruin, part roofless. That being said, the stunning Great Hall and some state rooms still remain.
Now managed by English Heritage, the gardens have recently been revamped and are clearly one of the highlights when visiting Corby. Not only does the hall boast an impressive heritage, you’ll be pleased to know that Kirby Hall has been used a backdrop to productions on and offscreen. Claim to fame anyone?
If you are looking for the perfect time to visit, the hall also organises events:
